Watercolor of a raised wooden beach house with green shutters beside the dunes, the ocean behind it and the road in front

Flagler Beach home watch, from the street, the grounds or the air

Salt, sun and blown sand go to work on a beach house the day you leave. Photos and drone video of its outside, on A1A or the island side streets, reach you wherever you are.

A small town between the ocean and the Intracoastal

Most of Flagler Beach sits on a barrier island. A1A runs right beside the dunes, the pier stands at the end of Moody Boulevard, and the sand has the orange tint of crushed coquina shell. It is a low-rise town of older cottages and newer raised houses.

If yours is a second home or a rental, the outside is the part of it you see least.

  • Houses and side streets
  • Intracoastal Waterway

What salt air does to a house

  • Railings and fasteners

Metal close to the beach rusts and pits faster than it does a few miles inland.

  • Screens and porches

Wind off the water tugs at screens and at anything left loose on a deck or porch.

  • Paint and siding

Sun and salt chalk the paint and fade the siding, usually first on the side facing the ocean.

None of it happens overnight, which is why two sets of pictures taken months apart make it easy to see.

Storm season on the island

Storms have closed A1A along this stretch before, and an Atlantic storm does not have to come ashore here to send high surf and wind onto the island. A before set while a storm is still several days out, and an after set once the road reopens, give you two dated views of the house.

Three vantage points on a beach house

  • Front View

Street, sidewalk and public beach access

The front of the house as the public way sees it, with the stairs and parking pad of a raised house.

  • Full Property

All around, from the open grounds

The ocean side, the deck stairs, the side yards and the parking pad underneath, photographed all around the outside.

  • Drone

Above the house, from the street

One aerial video over the house, the dune and the beach behind it.

Flagler Beach home watch questions

Can you photograph the ocean side of my house?

From the street, only the front shows. Full Property photographs the ocean side from your own open grounds, and Drone records it from the air, dune and all.

Which months matter most for a Flagler Beach house?

August through October, the heart of hurricane season, and the long quiet stretch from January into spring when many beach houses sit empty.

Which parts of Flagler Beach do you serve?

Addresses all over town, ZIP code 32136: oceanfront houses on A1A from the north end to the south end, the streets around the pier and Moody Boulevard, and the side streets running back to the Intracoastal.
